Randy has over 35 years of experience in risk management and property and casualty insurance. His expertise encompasses all areas of property and casualty risk management including risk analysis, program design and implementation. Randy provides independent consulting services, expert witness and litigation support on a national basis on topics of workers compensation premium, classification, manual rules and experience rating. He provides speaking services and has had multiple articles published on a variety of insurance related topics.
Education is important to our agency. Randy has received the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation, the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation and completes annual advanced coverage seminars. He firmly believes business insurance consumers are best served by consultants, insurance company and agency representatives who acquire, maintain and demonstrate a high level of professional excellence through continuing education.
In 1992 Randy and Steve formed Mid-America Specialty Markets as an independent insurance agency specializing in business insurance products and risk management services. Today Mid-America Specialty Markets is the commercial platform for 16 independent insurance agents and offers a wide variety of competitive insurance products to a diverse client base throughout the State of Missouri.
Steve has over 45 years of experience in the insurance business. Steve brings a wealth of insurance knowledge and experience to the table when working with new or existing agency clients.
Again, education is an important part of our agency. Steve has received his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, the Associate in Underwriting (AU) designation, the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation and the Accredited Advisor of Insurance (AAI) designation. Steve proves his dedication to our clients through his continued industry education. He has taught insurance education classes to many young agents and served the local CPCU chapter in many leadership roles.
Forming our agency in 1992 Steve and Randy found their common sense approach to dealing with clients was soon accepted as a refreshing way of doing business for many local insurance consumers. Noel began his insurance career in 1999 and has quickly established himself as a knowledgeable professional. His primary focus is providing customized insurance products for the commercial market. Noel has developed a wide expertise for providing business insurance products ranging from Life and Health to Property and Casualty to those clients around Mexico, Paris, Martinsburg, Montgomery City and the Herman area.
Noel is born and raised in Martinsburg, MO where he continues to live and raise his family. He is a supporter of local social clubs and a strong supporter of youth athletics. He works out of our Columbia Missouri office.
Susan is a veteran commercial lines insurance agent who started with our agency in 1998. She specializes in providing competitive insurance products to clients throughout the Lake of the Ozarks and Jefferson City areas of Mid-Missouri. She stays abreast of current insurance practices and market trends by participating in continuing education workshops each year.
When Susan is not doing insurance work, construction business work or managing her rental properties she spends time with her family and her grandchildren. She also does volunteer work at the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center in Jefferson City.
Susan has the experience and knowledge to help clients find the right coverage for their many diverse needs. Providing workers compensation, general liability, inland marine, business auto, commercial bonds and group health insurance to regional contractors is one of her favorite things to do. You will find no one is more dedicated or works harder for a client than Susan!
Suzanne started her insurance career in 2005 with an independent agency. In 2010, Brothers & Associates welcomed her to the team. She is the agency’s office manager who throughout her tenure has embraced many roles to include sales and service for both personal & commercial policies. The thirst for knowledge led her to complete the CLCS (Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist) course which helped further understanding the continuously changing industry. It is her nature to act in the best interest of our customers and will ensure that each person receives the quality “On Your Side” service that they deserve. Suzanne is very passionate about making sure all members needs are met with problems being solved in a timely fashion. Her daughter, age 9 and son, age 5 are precious individuals that keep their mom super busy, but she enjoys every moment.
