Website Privacy Statement

Last updated: October 8, 2026

Mid-America Specialty Markets ("Mid-America," "we," "us," or "our") explains here how information is handled when you visit our website, request a quote, submit a policy service request, upload documents, or contact us through the website.

Separate privacy notices may apply to insurance applications, policies, claims, carriers and other agency services. This statement does not replace those notices.

Information you provide

Depending on the form you use, you may provide:

  • Your name, email address, telephone number and mailing address.
  • Information about the insurance products you are interested in, your business, property or vehicles.
  • A policy number, named insured and details of a requested service, such as a policy change, identification card, certificate or proof of coverage.
  • Documents you choose to upload, such as current declarations pages.
  • Comments, correspondence and other information you choose to provide.

Please provide only information needed for your request. Do not enter Social Security numbers, payment-card or bank-account information, passwords, or detailed medical information into general comment fields. Contact the agency if you need a suitable way to provide sensitive information. If you provide information about another person, make sure you have authority to do so.

Technical information and browser storage

Our hosting, security and embedded-service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device characteristics, requested pages, timestamps and error information to operate and protect the website.

The website also uses browser storage to remember a quote request's identifier and status. This helps check whether a request was received and prevent duplicate submissions. This saved browser record does not contain the quote form's contact fields or uploaded document contents. See our Cookie and Browser Storage Policy for more information.

How we use information

Information submitted through the website may be used to:

  • Respond to questions and prepare or evaluate quote requests.
  • Identify an existing policy and route a service request to appropriate agency staff.
  • Create agency workflow records and deliver receipt, completion and related service notifications.
  • Handle documents associated with a request.
  • Protect the website, prevent abuse, investigate delivery problems and maintain records.
  • Meet applicable legal, contractual and operational requirements.

A quote or service request is an intake request. It does not itself bind, change, cancel or confirm insurance coverage. Agency staff may need to verify identity, authority and request details before acting.

Service providers and other recipients

Information may be handled by agency staff and vendors supporting hosting, storage, security, email delivery, request routing and agency management. The website's supporting systems include Vercel, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft email services, Cloudflare Turnstile, Upstash and HawkSoft.

When appropriate to the requested insurance transaction, information may also be provided to carriers, brokers or other insurance participants. Information may be disclosed where required or permitted by law, or to investigate fraud, protect systems and respond to legal process.

Public review content may be displayed through Elfsight, and Facebook content may be embedded on the website. Embedded content may cause your browser to communicate with its provider, which can process technical information under its own privacy practices. Third-party websites reached through links have their own privacy policies.

Bot protection

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish legitimate use from automated abuse. Cloudflare processes information used to assess requests and provide its security service. More information is available in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and navigation on public pages, identify useful content and improve access to our services. Currently, our analytics implementation measures visits to public pages and navigation between them. Reported referral information is limited to previously visited eligible pages on our own website; external referral sources are not reported. Depending on the features enabled, analytics may also include:

  • Visits to public pages, navigation between pages and referral sources.
  • Browser and device characteristics, session activity and time spent using the website.
  • Scrolling and interactions with links, including telephone, email and appointment links.
  • Starting a quote or service form and whether a submission was accepted, identified by form category rather than its contents.

Scrolling, contact-link interactions, form starts and accepted-submission events are not currently enabled. Analytics uses browser identifiers and, depending on the features enabled, interaction information. It is not completely anonymous simply because reports combine activity from multiple visitors. We do not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, mailing addresses, policy numbers, customer-entered form fields, uploaded documents or filenames, request identifiers, submission credentials or completion-link tokens to Google Analytics. If contact-click events are enabled, they identify the type of interaction rather than transmitting the email address, telephone number or full link destination. Analytics page addresses and referral information are limited to avoid exposing sensitive URL parameters or tokens.

Statistics is optional. We configure the website not to load Google Analytics until you allow Statistics in Cookie Settings. Analytics is excluded from service-completion and administrative recovery pages. You may reject Statistics and still request a quote or policy service, or change your choice using the footer's Cookie Settings control. Withdrawing permission stops future analytics collection; it does not retract information already sent.

Information you submit for an insurance or service request is processed separately by agency systems and supporting vendors, as described above. Excluding that information from analytics does not prevent the agency from receiving and handling your request. See our Cookie and Browser Storage Policy and Google's Privacy Policy for further information.

Storage, retention and security

Information is transmitted to and maintained in agency or service-provider systems. Safeguards include access controls, protected transport, encryption of selected workflow content and scanning controls for uploaded files. No internet service can guarantee complete security.

Retention varies with the information, the request, legal and contractual obligations, and operational needs. Files or records associated with unresolved delivery or security investigations may be retained for investigation. Browser storage, uploaded files and agency records can have different retention periods; clearing browser storage does not delete agency records.

Your choices and requests

You can contact us to ask about information submitted through this website or request access, correction or deletion where applicable. We may need to verify your identity and authority. Some information may need to be retained for legal, insurance, recordkeeping or security purposes.

Privacy rights depend on applicable law and the information involved. We will handle requests according to the requirements that apply. Optional analytics choices can be managed through Cookie Settings. Choosing not to allow analytics does not prevent you from requesting a quote or policy service.

Changes and contact

We may update this statement as the website or our practices change. The date above identifies the latest update.
